A tiny OT Stick - just a 12.5" span! This is from the April 1950 Model Airplane news. I've had my eye on this for several years because I like small models. When the FAC extended "Old Timers" to the end of 1950, I just had to build this one. It went together quickly and features a Ritz-style wing - that is, a thin under camber, with fat Leading and Trailing Edges and no spars. You need to mold the wing panel to get the under camber before gluing in the ribs, but this is a simple process. Covering the wing with tissue makes a very strong wing.
My prototype flew away into the woods on the first day out. I had it trimmed at home, but put some turns on it and away it went! I lost site of it across the road and behind some houses and into the woods at 1:50.
This SHORT KIT contains a new plan and three sheet of laser cut parts.
